About Us

Founded in 2011, to date we have made over half a billion dollars in investments, primarily in our home states of Texas and Tennessee.

OakPoint is a vertically integrated firm with a diverse portfolio in commercial, multifamily, office, residential, and industrial real estate. We underwrite conservatively, think entrepreneurially, and give generously with our time and resources.

OUR Guiding Principles

No. 1

Wise investment builds community.

We believe that compounding capital through real estate investing enhances the lives of our community, investors, and neighborhoods. We focus on optimizing each opportunity—extracting its maximum potential to bring long-lasting impact.

No. 2

Giving back is good business.

We have been generously blessed with opportunities and the gift of supportive mentors, colleagues, family, and connections. Therefore, we seek to be generous in return—giving back with our time, expertise, and financial resources to benefit our community and the industry's next generation.

No. 3

Play for the long-game.

We value long-term success over short-term gains, constantly reassessing risks and relying on data and analytics to guide our decision making. We actively structure projects to protect downside risk, even if sometimes at the expense of upside potential.

No. 4

Work is more than work.

We don’t just invest in real estate; we invest in people. We’ve built an open environment where problem solving and creative thinking are encouraged, and people are rewarded for their contributions. We promote a work cadence that allows our team to reinvest in themselves, their families, and their communities.

No. 5

Stewardship above all.

We are stewards of capital and relationships—caretakers entrusted with hard-earned resources and reputations. This responsibility is an honor that guides our day-to-day business. Being a good steward requires discipline, hard work, critical thinking, and resolve. It also requires a commitment to relationships built on trust and transparency.
